Hundreds of employees worked throughout the night to finish connecting two railways in China.

Video filmed in Beijing on April 25 shows a large number of workers and more than a dozen machines working at night on the Beijing–Tangshan intercity railway to connect it with the Beijing-Harbin Railway.

The No.42 turnout of the Beijing section of the Beijing-Tangshan railway is the largest and longest turnout in the country. It measures at 157.2 metres long and weighs 232 tonnes.

The railway work began on April 23 and finished April 25.

经过连夜奋战，4月25日7时，京唐铁路北京段第二组42号道岔插入京哈铁路下行线施工完成，至此京唐铁路与京哈铁路接轨互通，为京唐铁路开通奠定基础。42号道岔长157.2米、总重量达232吨、横移距离为7.7米。它是目前国内高铁既有线插铺施工型号最大、长度最长的高速道岔。
据悉，本次横移并入工程是国内首次采用液压同步走行动力设备铺设道岔，为确保道岔插铺精准就位，现场采用16台“小型机器人”——液压横移动力牵引车助力道岔横移就位。施工时，16台“小型机器人”在两台油泵的控制下，带动道岔缓缓向前移动，行进过程中每2米一停顿，复合同步精度，及时进行纠偏，确保道岔精准就位。
