Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End production of 'Cinderella' announced on Sunday (May 1) that its final performance will be June 12.

The shock announcement has left performers angry and heartbroken, as some current cast members and those due to join the production have said they heard about the closure from other cast members and social media.

Carrie Hope Fletcher, who stars as Cinderella in the musical, tweeted on Sunday evening she was "sending love to all impacted by todays [sic] news and by how that news was delivered."

A spokesperson for Lloyd Webber's company The Really Useful Group said on Monday (May 2) that "every effort was made to ensure people were notified before it went live, while trying to manage how quickly it would move on social media once people were informed."
