A body modification addict who had her tongue surgically split has revealed how she can taste two different things at the same time – blowing social media users' minds.

Brianna Mary Shihadeh, a dreadlock artist from Southern California, shared a ‘tongue-in-cheek’ demonstration on her TikTok (@flowerfriendly), where she has 1.7 million followers.

In the clip, which has racked up 293,000 views, she places a can of Pepsi and a can of Coca Cola in front of her to see if she can "taste the difference" simultaneously on her split organ.

And the result has left social media users stunned.

Brianna starts by filling up each glass before placing her tongue, which splits in two, with one side going into the Pepsi glass and another into the Coke glass.

After deliberating for a few moments, and moving each half of her tongue around the glasses she settled on the conclusion: “I can’t taste the difference".

Not only did she try fizzy drinks but the artist, who also has piercings and tattoos aplenty, also did a salty versus sweet taste test with one glass containing sugar water and the other salt water, something she said left her brain feeling confused.

TikTok users were fascinated by her tongue's unique skill, with one person commenting: “I never even thought of that use! You’re awesome. I can't look away.”

Another said: “This is the content I need. So many questions in this world and nobody is asking the right ones, until now.”

Some even had their own taste requests saying: “Please for the love of everything holy do mouthwash and orange juice.”

Another was also transfixed by the procedure saying "lol the little tongue flicking to really get the flavour!"

And some just loved the process commenting: “I could watch this for hours lmao it's so satisfying.”

Brianna who also goes by the moniker Flower to her followers, has a number of face and body tattoos as well as piercings and completes her own colourful dreadlock work.

She currently crowd-funding for an art community in Nevada that features hippie/conscious art.
