Drone video taken on April 16, 2022 shows the Jiapang terraced fields, one of the "most beautiful terraced fields in China", in Congjiang County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Southwest China's Guizhou Province.
Every April and May is the season for filling the terraced fields with water. After filling the terraced fields with water, they will shine with silver light, highlighting the graceful and winding outline of the terraced fields. Along with the temperature rise, the local also entered the spring ploughing season.
The Jiapang Rice Terraces have a history of over a thousand years. The local farming people have carefully taken care of every inch of the land under their feet for generations, and the activities and extraordinary wisdom to obtain food are everywhere. The Miao people raise both carp and ducks in the rice field. This ancient system of rice-fish-duck co-cultivation has been listed as an important agricultural heritage in the world.
