Gracie Abrams to make acting debut in film drama Please
Deadline reports that the Grammy-nominated singer has been cast in the lead role of independent film company A24's forthcoming film. The role will mark Abrams' debut on the silver screen as an actor. Renowned filmmaker Halina Reijn is on board to direct the project. Reijn has previously helmed films including Babygirl starring Nicole Kidman, and Bodies Bodies Bodies. Singer Gracie has family ties to generations of filmmakers. Her father, JJ Abrams, has a Hollywood resume that includes writing Forever Young and Armageddon.
