Bizarre footage has emerged from Beijing, China of male models dressed as Spartan warriors for a publicity stunt - shortly before they were reportedly arrested for "disturbing public order" on Wednesday.

The group were filming a publicity video for local restaurant Sweetie Salad - delivering food from their office to the large Jianwai SOHO shopping development.

Unfortunately, after passing the iconic CCTV broadcast offices and getting to the mall, the hundred salad-wielding warriors were seen pinned down by police on a nearby bridge.

According to local reports the group were detained and taken away by police citing 'public order'. Local social media users have drawn comparisons between this and a stunt in London, UK last year where spartans invaded the London Underground (without incident) to promote film '300'.
