Dozens of firefighters combined to combat a blaze in Yateley Common, Hampshire, on July 14.

Footage shows the squads using hosing down the dried-out shrubbery at the park.

Fifteen people had to leave their homes on Stroud Lane due to the fire.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service tweeted: "This hot and dry weather means fires like the one crews have been tackling at Yateley Common can become very severe, very quickly."

15 Fire appliances from Hampshire , Surrey , Berkshire attended a large fire in Yateley common on the Hampshire / Berkshire boarder today supported by specialist off road appliances and water carriers from the three counties. Crews worked extremely hard throughout the day to control this blaze after evacuating properties in fear of spread. The brigade were called shortly before 12pm on the 14th of July 2022
