Chess olympiad torch reaches Mamallapuram. As the torch reaches celebrations started in a full swing in and around the venue.
Traditional Dances and sports portraying Tamil culture were also also displayed.
Close to 2200 participants from 188 countries are set to take part in this high profile event where almost all the participants have arrived at the state headquarters.
Two huge stadiums, one with an area of 52,000 square feet and another with the area of 22,000 square feet were built.
700 chess boards have been set up so that 1400 players can play at the same time.
The promotional activities are also on the full swing.
