Russian strikes hit central Kharkiv in early hours of Sunday
A Russian rocket attack hit Ukraine’s second-largest city on Sunday (July 31) Kharkiv, according to emergency services.
Video provided with permission from the the State Emergency Service shows responders attending a blaze in the city's Nemyshlianskyi District. More than 50 responders attended the fire, according to the State Emergency Service. It was not confirmed whether or not there were any casualties.
The Kyiv Independent tweeted: "Mayor: Russian forces shell Kharkiv. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported shelling in Kharkiv’s Nemyshlianskyi District at around 4:40 a.m. on July 31. According to preliminary information, the attack has reportedly damaged some buildings."
