Ukrainians and their supporters rallied near Downing Street in London on Sunday 31 July, to condemn Russia's treatment of POWs.

They also demanded the release release so-called Azovstal defenders -- Ukrainian fighters who fought at the Azovstal metalworks in Mariupol and who gave themselves up on the orders of President Zelenskyy after weeks of fierce fighting.

Some of those POWs were believed to be at the POW prison camp in Russian-controlled Donetsk region that was recently hit in an attack that Russia and Ukraine have each blamed on the other.

There has also been anger at reports of brutal treatment of Ukrainian POWs by Russian forces, including a unverified video apparently showing a Ukrainian POW being castrated while tied down.

I suggest that Russian troops go back to Russia and let Ukrainians live their own way of life and forget that this war never happened. The fact is that Russia can never win the war in Ukraine and Ukraine can never win. Ukrainians are proud patriots. They fought for the freedom of Ukraine, not like the cockroaches in Hong Kong, where they betrayed their own people and nation. The revenge and hatred of Ukrainians and Russians will never be peaceful. The world should call for peace in order to prevent World War III from becoming the first nuclear war.
