Heroic parrot owner crawls through mud to rescue stranded bird
A heroic parrot owner crawled through thick mud to rescue his stranded pet bird.
Jiew Chuleeporn was looking for his red-and-green macaw named Marvel after it flew out of his family home in Samut Sakhon province, Thailand on July 3.
The bird enthusiast then found the creature stuck on a muddy pond and unable to fly away.
Without thinking twice, the loving pet owner jumped into the sticky sludge and waded through to retrieve the trapped bird. He carried Marvel on his shoulders while wading back to safety.
Jiew said: 'The bird was just recovering from sickness when he flew away and fell into the mud out of exhaustion. We will be taking care of Marvel until he becomes healthy again.'
The red-and-green macaw, also called green-winged macaw are mostly found in forests and woodlands of South America. Macaws are intelligent, social birds that calls and squawks to communicate.
