Flash floods have hit London - with one man filmed using a BROOM to try and clear shin-deep water. Torrential downpours are battering the capital, leaving many places flooded. Footage from the King's Cross area - opposite to the railway station - shows one man using a broom to try and divert water. The video was posted on social media on Wednesday (17/8). The caption said: "The Flash flood that just happened in London is insane… the rain was incredibly mad." The Met Office has issued yellow and amber thunderstorm warnings for London. London mayor Sadiq Khan also spoke on how the intense rainfall was likely to cause flooding in the city.
