I was visiting this remote village here in Cebu Philippines for a week (August 02, 2020). One morning i saw this poor puppy down a creek, she was covered with dirt and she couldnt move her hind legs. I couldnt just leave her there so i took her and then later i ask people nearby if anyone knows whose puppy was it , they told me she was thrown like a piece of garbage by her owner. I didn't know what to do at first because i cannot bring the puppy to the house where i was staying because they also have big dogs. So i took the puppy to an abandoned house, i just often visit her and bring her food and water. Two days after i had to go back home in the City, i didnt want to leave the puppy behind because i knew nobody would take care of her, so i brought her home. Since it was a hard lockdown due to the pandemic most establishments/vet clinics were apparently closed, all i can do then was just basic home care. Seeing her progress was my proudest moment ever, I was thinking for a name then I decided to call her River. After weeks and months River was fully recovered and living her life to the fullest .. it definitely felt like destiny that our paths have crossed, you know perfect timming , i was there and she was there. River and I met in a very unfortunate situation, but regardless of all circumstances i'm still grateful that i've found my best buddy.
