Lennon Wall: 35 x 5 meters artwork celebrating freedom and energy on display in Paris
An artwork taking inspiration from the Lennon Wall, measuring 35 x 5 meters, is on display at the Place du Panthéon in Paris, France, for two days.
This initiative brings together drawings from the 27 states as well as Ukraine and Norway.
The artists created a large-scale artwork that was then photographed and printed on an inflatable wall on the same size.
The project was launched following the EU motto "United in diversity", on the theme of freedom and energy.
This artwork takes inspiration from one of the five most visited places in Prague, Czech Republic, the famous "Lennon Wall", symbolically associated with peaceful resistance to violence and injustice all over the world.
The international cultural project "Wall of Freedom and Energy / Lennon Wall Praha" is part of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The author and curator of the project is Czech artist Pavel Šťastný, and the co-organizer of the project is cultural producer Robin Suchánek. The project was created in cooperation with Mr. Michel Fleischmann, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Paris, and Mr. Jan Horník, Deputy Speaker of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic.
