This is the amusing moment wild otters were fascinated after seeing fish that were bigger than them.

The otter family was spotted watching the tank at the Big Fish Aquarium at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore on October 15.

The playful creatures appeared awestruck when one of the giant water creatures swam across the glass.

Footage shows five amazed otters staring at the enormous fish that's almost twice their size.

Onlooker Patrick Ng said: 'The otters could not believe their eyes when they saw the large fish. They're used to seeing smaller river fish.'

Three of the otters left after the large fish emerged but two of them remained snooping at the aquarium appearing to look for a way inside.

Patrick jokingly said: ‘The otters have a large appetite. Maybe they wanted a taste of the big meal.'
