This talented Chinese 3D painter creates awesome optical illusions by using perspective art.

Huang Yao, 33, turns parts of the rural scenery in Chenzhou, Hunan invisible through his clever use of camera angles and canvases to paint over the background.

The artist said: 'I want to do something for my hometown to let more people know its beauty, so I will keep painting and creating in my hometown.'

Footage shows Huang skillfully 'erasing' parts of a tree, a rice paddy, and a flower field - among others - by mimicking the colourful landscape on paper.

His works showcase the idyllic village life inspired by his childhood memories, he told local media.

He said: 'I like to write and draw everywhere since I was a child. When I was 16 years old in high school, I began to formally learn to draw, which was also the foundation for painting at that time.'
