Manchester airports runway has holes that causes delays and diversions with aircraft using second runway
A hole, or surface defect, causes delays and ended up meaning aircraft were told to divert due to longer holding times to land at Manchester Airport on Thursday (November 10).
Flow rate per hour is normally around 45 aircraft, meaning 45 aircraft can arrive or depart but today it was as low as 6, but maintained a level of 12 most of the day
