Tourists hiked up a mountain as temperatures plunged to a chilly 3 degrees Celsius in Thailand.

Visitors climbed the Doi Inthanon mountain to witness the sea of clouds and observe the delicate hoar frost blanketing foliage in Chiang Mai province on November 10.

Meanwhile, other holidaymakers trekked to the Kew Mae Pan Kan viewpoint to welcome the beautiful sunrise.

Temperatures in Chiang Mai have dropped this year as the cooler winter season approaches, reaching a low of 3 degrees Celsius that allowed the feathery frost to form.

This year's cold season in the northern region began earlier than previous years, with the first appearance of hoar frost on November 7.

The Northern Meteorological Office has advised residents to take care of their health and exercise caution when starting fires that can cause a large blaze.

Motorists were also urged to drive with caution due to the morning fog obscuring roads.
