A group of 17 friends purchased a house worth 2.3 million rupees (£22,931) in Kochi, Kerala.

Graffiti and murals dedicated to Brazil's Neymar, Argentina's Lionel Messi, and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo covered the walls of the property.

One of the buyers, Harris, said: “Because no match is enjoyable without loud cheering and fun. The group consists of fans supporting Argentina, Brazil, Portugal, and France teams mostly.

"The idea of investing in the property is to celebrate every world cup season as we did for the past 15 or more years, and for the coming generation."
