The tiny Indian hamlet of Thoothoor has turned its streets into a World Cup village. People have recreated the international tournament by displaying cut-outs of football players, giant screens, flags, murals, and decorations.

32 teams joined a two-day football tournament in Muttom village. There, fishermen's favourite hobby is playing this sport.

One of the residents said: "The World Cup should happen in our country. That's our only wish".

The footage was filmed in India's Kanniyakumari Tamilnadu.
