Villagers captured a crocodile that entered Melathirukazhipaalai, a small village near the Cuddalore district of Tamilnadu.

The construction of an artificial pond for rearing fish attracted a wild crocodile, who began to attack goats and hens that came near the pond.

According to local reports, after raising concerns with the forest department and seeing no action taken on their complaint, villagers took matters into their own hands.

Villagers caught a Crocodile that entered the village near Chidambaram.

Melathirukazhipaalai is a small village hamlet near Chidambaram Cuddalore district of Tamilnadu. An artificial pond was built for rearing fishes on that village. A crocodile have entered on that fishing pond all of a sudden and it was eating goats and hens that came near the pond.

Knowing this villagers raised a complaint to the forest department. But there was no official action taken on their complaint.

So the villagers they themselves caught the crocodile and later the same was informed to the forest department .
