Iran pro-freedom protesters today marched holding ropes and doused in red paint as a public execution was carried out this week, with fears more will follow as the regime seeks to quash dissent and instill fear (December 17).

Majidreza Rahnavard was hanged publicly from a crane after a closed-door trial where he was denied legal representation of his choice.
Mohsen Shekari was also executed by the Iranian regime last week, for his participation in a protest.
