A classroom of students in Jincheng, China, erupted as they watched Argentina win the World Cup on penalties.

Video filmed in Qinshui County No. 2 Middle School in Jincheng, Shanxi Province, showed students bursting into rounds of applause after Argentina won the final.

It was understood that the teacher organized the classroom to watch the World Cup final at midnight Chinese time.

The teacher said that life was like this game, there was no easy victory, so they could not give up.

Some people online suggested that the game was on too late and would affect the next day's classes.

The teacher responded that the school had specially adjusted the break time to let the children watch the World Cup final because the students had been quarantined for more than 20 days due to COVID-19 outbreaks.

The video was filmed on December 19 and provided by local media with permission.
