Turkey's Nilüfer dam has dried up due to a severe drought.

The dam, located in Bursa, the country's fourth largest city, meets the drinking water needs of over 3 million and 194.000 people.

The dam, with an annual capacity of 60 million cubic meters of water, was adversely affected by the recent seasonal drought and the water level dropped to zero due to insufficient rainfall.

As a precaution, the General Directorate sent a warning message to every person in the city to save water. In addition, there were warnings about saving water on billboards in many parts of the city.
