Bangkok's free EV ferry service has restarted on the Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem canal after it was suspended last September.

The solar-powered boat rides, which resumed on March 15, will cover a distance of five kilometres from the Hua Lamphong railway station to the Talat Devaraj pier.

There were still only a few passengers as locals did not know the service was available again. Staff were promoting it at connecting piers to encourage commuters to take the free rides.

During weekdays, the service will run from 6 AM to 9 AM, and 4 PM to 7 PM, with 20-minute intervals.

Meanwhile, rides will depart every hour from 8 AM to 7 PM during weekends.
