A brokenhearted owner found the dead body of his beloved 20-year-old canine in eastern China.
A video filmed on Feb 28 in Lishui, Zhejiang, shows a dog lying still in a pit.
According to the owner, Xie Fayun, the dog called Lulu saw him off on the morning of the 27th and missed. He finally found her the next day evening but it was her dead body that was discovered.
Xie buried Lulu by the side of a river.
Lulu is adopted by her owner in 2004, and sets off and greets her owner daily.
