Amused students, science teacher launch water rocket into space
In northern China, a science teacher prepared a DIY water rocket launch in a primary school.
With a week’s preparation and the students' assistance, Zhang Jiantao, the teacher, successfully launched the water rocket on the playground on February 22.
The video shows the partial process of the launch and experiment, which lasted for nearly 90 minutes.
Students from different grades were involved in this experiment and they were responsible for the harmless assembly work, while the teacher was in charge of other work with some dangerous tools such as electric drills, electric irons, and scissors.
Zhang, aged 35, has been teaching science for eight years and he has taught in this school for three years, which is located in an area with backward educational resources.
Most of the students are left-behind children, according to Zhang, and the reason why he made this experiment is that he was eager to fulfill the students’ willingness and provide them with the best experience he could offer.
