Freshman spends one week riding over 800 miles to university with his sexagenarian grandfather
A university freshman challenged himself to ride from home to school with his experienced grandfather in 7 days.
They started their adventure on March 3 and rode from Langfang, Hebei to the Rongcheng campus of Harbin University of Science and Technology in Shandong.
The grandson and the grandfather planned to ride to Xi’an once, but the plan was canceled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This was a precious time for them to accompany each other, according to Tan, the student.
Tan’s grandfather, aged 67, has a lot of riding experience.
