A resident in Ganaly, eastern Russia, came across a sleepy bear taking a snooze on a porch.

Footage recorded on April 19 by local hunting inspector Vladimir Shablii shows the animal fast asleep laying at the top of some stairs on a homeowner's porch.

According to locals, despite being escorted to the forest twice, the bear has kept returning to the same spot.

They also claim the bear has not shown any signs of aggression but has left residents with a dilemma on how to proceed.

Officials have been contacted but a solution has yet to be found.
