A black bear raided bird feeders on a family's porch in New Hampshire.

CCTV footage shows the animal in front of a house in Laconia on March 19, with parts of the tray feeder scattered around him.

In the video, Resident Jennifer Connary Harper Myers says: 'What are you doing? You shouldn't be eating that,' before the bear left and headed towards the woods.'

The house owner said it was the second time that the bear had broken the bird feeder to snack on the seeds.

She warned others in the area about hungry bears and stressed the importance of securing garbage cans and bird feeders to prevent wildlife encounters.

Black bears are the only bear species found in New Hampshire. Their population has made a remarkable comeback from a low of around 1,000 in the mid-1800s to an estimated 5,600 today.
