This woman got the fright of her life one morning, when she heard someone banging on her back door.

Desirae Kelly, 28, from Missouri, has shared the story of how she ended up calling the police after someone allegedly attempted to break into her home.

After getting up in the morning, Desirae let her adorable pooch outside whilst she continued errands in the house, when all of a sudden she heard a loud pounding coming from her back door.

Not wanting to risk having to confront someone, she called the police and stayed inside until they arrived.

However, once the police arrived, the dog ran back inside and it appeared that the person had already left.

Desirae said: "This luckily only happened once but I've immediately installed cameras and now get so nervous to open the door every time!"
