A couple of black bears made their way onto the porch of this Colorado home and were captured opening the door on it's hind legs.

The Steamboat Springs resident was recording the duo on May 17, when one of them took a particular interest in the front door, reaching out grabbing the door handle before pulling it open.

The homeowner then banged on the window, giving the bears a fright and shooed them off.

According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, black bears are intelligent, curious, and relentless in their pursuit of food.

“Keep all bear-accessible windows and doors closed and locked, including home, garage and vehicle doors,” the agency advises.

If you see a bear near your home, the agency warns not to approach it, but to “yell, blow a whistle, clap your hands, and make other loud noises” to chase it away.
