Staff at Cooper's Hill, Gloucestershire, rushed to the aid of several injured contestants at this year's cheese rolling event.

Captured on May 29, the footage shows hundreds launching themselves down the steep hill in the hope of winning a 3kg wheel of cheese.

The winner of the women's race Delaney Irving, from Canada, managed to clench victory despite knocking herself on the way down.

Thankfully, she didn't suffer any serious injuries and she was able to speak to journalists about her win.

On the 29th May, an annual cheese-rolling event took place in Gloucestershire, where participants chase a wheel of Double Gloucester down Cooper’s Hill, an incredibly steep hill.

Emergency services were not present at this years event, but five ambulances were nearby following the event after several participants sustained serious injuries.
