Tony Stowell, who lost his mother to COVID-19 in 2020 while she was a resident in a care home, and his lawyer Fadi Farhat, joined a debate in Parliament yesterday (June 14). The meeting was organised by Andrew Bridgen MP.

Stowell sued the Hull care home as his mum was put on end-of-life care without her family's knowledge and died after contracting coronavirus. According to his lawyers, she couldn't have given consent to end-of-life care due to her dementia.

"I didn't even know my mum was poorly. The campaign that I am running, I know it would have saved my mum's life", Stowell says in the video.

"Many people lost loved ones, Tony Stowell is one of them", says Farhad in the clip. "It is really about reflecting and what can be done, looking at the various legal safeguards that we can achieve going forward in order to stop this from happening because every life is sacred".
