Clever 'red cow' uses bush to scratch its head
This is the amusing moment a clever deer used a bush to scratch its itchy head.
The wild animal known as a 'banteng' or red cow (Bos javanicus) was seen at the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Breeding Station in Uthai Thani, Thailand, happily rubbing its head against the shrubs to relieve an itch.
CCTV footage taken on June 7 shows how the bovine scratched its horns and forehead against the foliage before grazing on the grass nearby.
The banteng, also known as tembadau, is a species of cattle in Southeast Asia. They are classified as endangered under the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species.
