The 2023 National Armed forces Day is held in Falmouth Cornwall UK. At a cost of over £600 thousand pounds. Cornwall Council who are providing the bulk of the funding are hoping to generate between £5 and £7 million pounds from the event weekend for the town. Sponsorship of £192,500 is provided by Tesco, Wildanet internet, GWR railways, Corserv, and British Aerospace. The event is planned to cater for 100,000 visitors over 24th and 25th June 2023. Marching regimental bands, and extensive flying displays including Typhoons of the royal Airforce, Battle of Britain historical flight, The Red Arrows display team and Royal Navy helicopter displays and parachute jumps. HMS Richmond is moored by the quay and tickets were soon taken up for the guided visits. The event is widely welcomed but not by all as Quakers for Peace who are an anti war peace group unfurled banners at The Moor square in the town. Musical entertainment is provided at no charge with the Fleet Foxes female duo here and a track from St Agnes singer Joe Francis performed today and made available for distribution.
