Turns out that high-school chemistry isn't as useless as some may think.

Watch closely as Morgan McKeen reveals an easy way to make invisible ink.

She starts off by dissolving 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a half cup of water. Then, in another cup, she mixes turmeric and hand sanitizer.

For the next step, she recommends writing or drawing with the baking soda mix, allowing it to dry, and then painting over the text/drawing with the sanitizer/turmeric blend.

"A spooky Halloween craft using science to create invisible ink," Morgan said. "Turmeric is a natural pH indicator and changes color when combined with baking soda."
