Japan: Winds Pick Up In Okinawa As Typhoon Khanun Approaches 5
As Typhoon Khanun, locally named No 6, approached Okinawa Prefecture of Japan, winds started to pick up. According to Japan's Meteorological Agency, the wind was up to 162 kilometers per hour. The typhoon was expected to intensify while moving closer to Okinawa.
Taiwanese Airlines, including Tigerair and Starlux, cancelled their flights between Taoyuan and Okinawa on Tuesday.
