Owner and pet dog witnessed bird "drop dead" from the sky and both reacted in exactly the same way
This is the moment a woman and her pet dog both witnessed a bird 'drop dead' from the sky in front of them - and both reacted in exactly the same way.
Isabel Klee, a social media strategist, was recording a snippet of her day when she caught the moment on camera.
Isabel, 30, and her dog Simon, four, were basking in the sunshine together in their garden in Brooklyn, New York City, when they heard a bird's struggling chirps.
The video shows the pair's heads follow the sound of the bird going left to right as it cascades down and eventually hits ground in front of them.
Isabel and her pet dog, a Jindo mix, both freeze and stare at the poor bird, with the exact same startled look on their faces.
She said: "It was a beautiful day and my dog was sitting so peacefully, so I decided to record the moment."
"I had no idea a bird would fall right in front of us while we were recording."
"Suddenly we both hear a bird above us, and it falls right in front of us."
"You can't see the bird falling, but can see both of our faces watching the bird fall."
The bird wasn't actually dead when she went over to inspect it.
While it was injured, it managed to make its way into their neighbour's garden over the fence.
Isabel said: "I started walking towards the bird, which is when my dog ran after it."
"It turned out the bird wasn't actually dead yet, and it hopped over our fence into our neighbour's yard."
"Because it was in our neighbour's yard, we couldn't get access to it."
"I live in Brooklyn so the backyards are really fenced in and you aren't able to easily get over to your neighbours."
"We hope the bird passed peacefully but don't know what ended up happening to it."
