This is the heartwarming moment a stray dog received its first-ever toy from an arcade visitor who won it for him on a claw machine.

Kannika Eabsamrong, 23, spotted Choki, the brown pooch, standing on his hind legs while staring at the stuffed toys inside the glass container in Songkhla, Thailand.

Amused by the dog's behaviour, which seemed eager to have one of its own, Kannika played the machine multiple times on August 13.

Footage shows Choki standing beside the determined player, intently watching as the metal claw moved over the toys.

Moments later, the arcade-goer managed to grab one of the plushies. She then gave the Shiba Inu toy to the visibly excited dog, who wagged his tail.

Choki can be seen sniffing and gently pawing its new toy placed on the ground. However, the doll did not last long, as it was torn apart after being played with roughly.

Kannika said: 'My family and I regularly feed Choki and his siblings, who have been living outside our house since they were puppies.

'We also provide them with flea and tick medication. Our family will continue to take care of the strays as best we can.'

Pet lovers have also approached Kannika to donate toys, but she reportedly declined, explaining that too many toys might be overwhelming for the dogs.

The woman recalled paying 200 THB (approximately 4.55 GBP) after several failed attempts to win the prize.
