Steve Hoffman, chairman and CEO of Founders Space, a global innovation hub for entrepreneurs, corporations and investors, has said that entrepreneurs in China "have a huge opportunity."

Hoffman made the remarks in an interview with Xinhua at the HICOOL 2023 Global Entrepreneur Summit in Beijing.

"China is uniquely positioned with a number of software engineers, the talent here and the huge marketplace to develop the next generation of software, including AI. We've already seen blockchain. And there'll be many more innovations coming. So I think China and the entrepreneurs here have a huge opportunity.
Also biotech in China. It's a really exciting time in biotech. The programs here have gained a lot of traction, and it's been impressive what they've accomplished in such a short amount of time.
And then other sectors, materials, the new material sector, really (have) interesting medical technologies. So I, in particular, am collaborating with a number of people in China who are developing new medical technologies that are really breakthrough technologies that can not only benefit China but that can be taken globally.
China is in a very unique position. So where China goes with its economy, with its technology, with the future, is really where the world goes.
The entrepreneurs here, they can stay in China and have a huge market just in China.
And my feeling is China has a very bright future."
