Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji will soon be illuminated in the newly constructed building of the historical Gurudwara Manji Sahib. During the Prakash of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar will enthrall the Sangat by singing Ragi Shabd Kirtan. To make the religious event successful, officials and members of Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee and Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee will participate in the program. The work of decorating the building completed at a cost of Rs 5 crore is in the final stage.Thousands of Sangat will participate to have darshan of Guru Ji's Prakash Avasar. Not only this, the special thing is that in the construction of the Gurudwara building, crores of rupees of money have been spent by the Seva Dal members and Sangat themselves instead of Golak. To make the building constructed with international modern technology memorable, the Suhasan place of Guru ji has been decorated with 400 year old Lakhauri bricks. Due to the hard work of the members of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Seva Dal, the construction work of the building has been completed in just two years Director Maninder Singh said that former SGPC chief Bibi Jagir Kaur, SGPC members and HSGPC members will also participate in the program. Akhand Path Sahib will be offered on 16th September. Hazuri Ragi Shabd Kirtan of Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar will be performed in the great Kirtan Darbar Samagam organized by Seva Dal. Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Seva Dal is the first organization to which SGPC Amritsar had entrusted the service of construction of Gurdwara building at its own expense.Seva Dal neither issued anyone's slip nor took any donation for this. Rs 5 crore has been spent with the support of Seva Dal members, NRIs and Sangat.
The langar hall is named after Bhai Santokh Singh, the court poet of Raja Bhai Udai Singh of Kaithal. Maninder Singh Advocate said that in the langar hall prepared with modern technology, 1500 devotees will be able to serve langar simultaneously. A wrap has also been installed for the convenience of the sangat. Also, a separate hall has been created so that the Sangat can recite three Akhand Paath Sahibs simultaneously.
