Wild Panda Ran Into Chinese Villager's Home in Xi'An, China

On September 21, 2023, in Shaanxi, a villager stumbled upon a rare sight as a wild giant panda resting inside his house.
The video taken around 7 a.m. showed the panda sleeping under a shed in a villager's cornfield, before being spotted resting under the eaves of a house.
The tranquil state of the panda caused concern. After the villagers reported to the relevant departments in a timely manner, the responsive personnel of Heihe Forest Park immediately contacted the Wildlife Rescue Center to go to the aid of the panda.
At 3 p.m. the same day, after receiving a condition assessment from the Rare Wild Animal Rescue Base, the panda was sent to Qinling Sibao Science Park for further treatment.
According to media reports, the panda is currently undergoing full treatment at the rescue station and will be released back into nature after recovery.
