Designer makes fabulous eco-friendly dress from plastic straws and soda can tabs
A Thai designer made an elaborate, eco-friendly dress out of discarded plastic straws.
Local dressmaker Mickey Kaisorn fashioned the beautiful turquoise gown to enter a fashion competition in Roi Et, Thailand, on August 10.
The Thai-style costume was created using curtains of blue straws layered together to form a tassel-like skirt, while the glimmering chestpiece was made with soda can tabs. The ensemble was topped off with a towering blue headdress.
Mickey said: 'It warms my heart to see that people like the gown. It means that it was well-made.'
