This is a spine-chilling moment a huge jungle spider walked across a youngster's arm.

Kyle Artillaga showed off the huge Philippine golden orb-weaver while it was perched on a stick his was holding in Quezon City, the Philippines on August 15.

Footage captured by Kryslene Artillaga, Kyle's cousin, shows him fearlessly allowing the imposing arachnid to crawl onto his arm.

Kyle even revealed that this particular species is known to consume small birds. Following this intriguing encounter, Kyle returned the spider safely to its nest.

A golden orb weaver spider is not poisonous and is harmless to humans - despite having a terrifying appearance.
