"Since Saturday, Palestinians have been suffering from death daily, with the death toll reaching more than 500.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced today (Monday) that the number of Palestinian deaths has risen to over 500 people due to Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip for the third day in a row.
Last Saturday morning, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, launched a surprise attack on Israel called "Al-Aqsa Flood," which included launching thousands of rockets and drones toward the towns bordering Gaza and attacking them with dozens of Hamas members.
On the other hand, the Israeli army responded by launching 'Operation Iron Swords,' which included launching hundreds of intensive raids on Al-Qassam Brigades military sites, residential buildings, mosques, government institutions, and agricultural lands.
From last Saturday until now, the Israeli targeting has impacted many aspects of life in the Gaza Strip, such as the power outage for more than 24 hours, the inability of municipalities and their crews to reach the devastated areas, and the complete paralysis in the ability of the government and international institutions to do anything during this bombing.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA) also confirmed that over 100,000 citizens fled their homes. The agency opened its schools to shelter about 70,000 people while it suffers from a deficit in providing humanitarian needs and urgent aid."
