An arsonist sets a cafe on fire in Bad Endorf, Bavaria, Germany, while residents unknowingly sleep in apartments above.

Security camera footage shows the arsonist pouring what appears to be gasoline in the room, then igniting it, engulfing the area in flames.

The video, released by the police on October 9, also captures the arsonist and an accomplice fleeing through a car park. Thankfully, all the apartment residents were evacuated without injury.

The police have announced a €5,000 (GBP 4,319) reward for information leading to the conviction of the suspects, who face charges of attempted murder and arson. The fire resulted in over €300,000 (GBP 259,134) worth of damage to the building.

Witnesses reported two individuals gaining access to the building through broken windows shortly before the fire and fleeing the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
