STORYLINE:

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) increased the airstrikes in Gaza "very significantly" on Friday, said IDF spokesperson Daniel Hagari.

"Here I'm in Tel Aviv, Israel's economic center, where rocket sirens were frequently heard since the war broke out three weeks ago. 
On Friday morning, the Israeli army said artillery was carried out against Hamas targets, including anti-tank missile launch sites and command centers."

"Persistent fire exchanges between Hamas fighters at Gaza borders, Hezbollah at the Lebanese borders, allied Palestinian factions at the Syrian borders and Israel have raised fears of a regional war.
Hospitals in Gaza have reached full patient capacity and are stacked with people seeking refuge. Already 12 hospitals are out of service and 32 healthcare centers have been forced to shut down."

More than 1.4 million people in Gaza have been forced to flee their homes, said a senior World Food Programme (WFP) official on Friday.

"UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi is urgently requesting essential resources, including fuel, for the UN agency for Palestine refugees. UN warned that the agency may be forced to halt its operations if it doesn't receive access to fuel.
The Palestinian Red Crescent said 74 trucks carrying food, water, and medical supplies had crossed from Egypt since (last) Saturday, a small fraction of Gaza's peacetime needs."
