Teenage Palestinian hostage speaks on his ordeal after being released
Hundreds of Palestinians gathered around Red Cross vehicles carrying hostages released by Israel on November 26.
Among the released hostages was 16-year-old Mow'ed Al Haj who spoke about his ordeal.
Speaking in Palestinian Arabic, he said: "We thank God for his mercy on us and for letting us out of prison. I also hope for the immediate release of all Palestinians in Israeli jails. We pray for Palestinians who were killed by Israeli Palestinian martyrs and we hope for a coming victory.
"The current situation inside is miserable and a disaster, we didn't have anything; our clothes we wore for more than a week or many days, no food, we also got beaten every day by Israeli guards, some of the inmates had broken parts of their bodies. The general situation is very bad, and I hope for a sooner release of all Palestinian prisoners.
"Please be aware that we are living in terrible, inhuman conditions. No one from the inmates knows that we are leaving the Israeli Jails, others think that we left prison for other security interrogation process, but after all, we say Al-Hamdulilah (thank God) for everything, hoping for sooner release for all Palestinians, and God have mercy upon all martyrs, peace to all in Gaza, and sooner victory."
Huge crowds lined the streets of Ramallah as a batch of 39 Palestinian hostages were released by Israeli forces.
