A vinted shopper was left in stitches after her Halloween costume arrived packaged in an Aldi cereal box.

Eliza O’Brien was searching on the second-hand shopping app for a Wizard of Oz outfit.

The 20-year-old ordered a tiara, gloves, necklace, earrings and a wand.

But the student, from Newcastle, couldn't believe her eyes after her order arrived.

The costume was stuffed inside an Aldi cereal box.

It was an old box of £1.39 Harvest Morn Frosted Flakes.

It was sealed with brown parcel tape.

The box appears battered on one side and has multiple dents.

Eliza said she couldn’t stop laughing at the seller's packaging blunder.

She said: “The wand was a bit bent but I pushed back into shape.”

Eliza shared a video of the bizarre postage method.

Vinted shoppers were left divided by the seller’s decision.

One person, called Ruby, said: “I never send my parcels like this, it's so embarrassing.

”Just bin bag and some tape will be cool.”

Nicole Sheran said: “Pretty genius if you ask me.”

”Eco-friendly packaging,” said Esther.

Millie Turner said: “This is why I love Vinted.”
